ELECTRONIC MASTER BILL OF LADING
Electronic Master Bills of Lading (eMBLs) are issued by carriers for the related title of goods, contract of carriage, and confirmation of receipt.
Using our WaveBL platform, eMBLs are issued instantly and transferred back and forth between participants, thus streamlining each stage to the benefit of all parties concerned.
Furthermore, our WaveBL platform provides an automatic, comprehensive, instant “best evidence” audit trail for insurance or ownership disputes, as well as a digital archive.
Our carrier-issued eBLs are also universally accepted by banks for issuing a related letter of credit.

In general, electronic House Bills of Lading (eHBLs) are used when the shipping process involves freight forwarders or NVOCCs. In this scenario, a freight forwarder or NVOCC buys cargo space from a carrier, divides that space, and resells it to individual shippers.
Once the carrier that sold the cargo space to the freight forwarder or NVOCC has issued an electronic Master Bill of Lading (eMBL). By using WaveBL, the freight forwarder or NVOCC can issue its eHBLs using the same platform to each of its customers.
These eHBLs include the details of the specific agreement by which the goods will be transported. When the shipment arrives at the port of destination, each consignee (buyer) surrenders its eHBL to the freight forwarder or NVOCC, which in turn surrenders its eMBL to the carrier.
